At YARD Furniture we breathe new life into reclaimed Victorian hardwoods.
We turn these timbers which are salvaged from old shops, warehouses and homes, into new pieces of furniture designed to last a lifetime.
The result is a unique piece of made to order furniture, made just for you.

Wall Units & Shelving
We made some beautiful custom Wall Units and shelving this year.
The Cooper Bookshelf began as a custom order, and has been introduced into our permanent offering once it was finished and draw a large amount of attention in our showroom.
It’s a variation of our Timber Bookshelf with cut out features to allow light to filter through, and is ideal for displaying a mix of books, ceramic objects and even hanging plants!
One of our Wall Unit highlights was a 3 metre long custom Wall Unit which features ample cupboard storage, and a mixed of fixed and adjustable shelving. It’s made from circa 1920’s reclaimed Messmate which came from a house in Kew, Melbourne.

Eden Dining Table
The Eden Dining Table with matching Dining Bench and Urbanloom Dining Chair
The Eden Dining Table is an update to the Classic Dining Table style.
It’s turned table legs and curved top work in a range of interior styles, and we’ve been making them for a variety of Melbourne homes: from updated single fronted terraces in Melbourne’s inner north to beach homes along the coast.
The Eden table pictured was one of favourites from this year.
Made for a open plan dining area, we also made a matching dining bench and a washable, removable bench seat cushion. Upholstered in Warwick Fabrics Orion ‘Rice’
Entertainment Units and Buffet Units
Our hand made entertainment units, consoles and buffet units are fully handcrafted to order.
This year many of our units can now be found in their new homes across Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane.

This year we continued to see a focus on living spaces and dining areas after the last few years of the pandemic. Entertaining at home and the ability to seat extra or more guests cropped up in a lot of our conversations with customers.
Each of our Dining Tables are made to order which means our customers are able to select the best dimensions for their space including length and width, and also select the type of reclaimed timber they’d like us to use. This means that instead of being bound by set sizes, customers instead can have the ideal dining tabler made for their space.
